car study

Car Study

This was performed at the intersection of College Street and Elm Street. Typically most people were alone in their cars and if not alone, they had only one other passenger. Most of the cars were capable of holding 4+ people and were headed in the same direction. this survey speaks to the culture of Mercer along with that of the south and American tendencies. Americans tend to be individualistic, the south is spread out so cars are more necessary, and Mercer students are typically upper-middle class or higher and can typically afford new cars
